Warming (4 Paintings, part of the "Water, Our Most Precious Resource" Show, Carrboro Library) The premise of my four paintings is that global warming, if unstopped, will change the way we encounter water in disastrous ways. Two of the paintings display water that moves where and in ways it shouldn’t (floods and violent storms) and two display water that no longer is available where it should be (drought and desertification). I have tried to use familiar landscapes that would become unfamiliar because of the change in climate that could, but we hope will not happen years into the future. |
